T1R test pipe, or everything else?

hi,
intended to do an exhaust upgrade.

have searched alot, but it seems asking some questions would get me there faster.

The header>Catalic Converter>B-pipe>axleback.

engine is stock, K&N open pod air intake. I want to achieve the deep dark sounds, medium loudness. not loud. noise should be just decent, since im a school teacher, and drive this car to school.

i have installed a new axleback, sounds seems improved abit. but not as deep and dark as i wanted.

i saw the T1R test pipe, and read that this will gain 3-5hp. also the price is affordable. what about the noise?

im also looking a B-pipe, but the T1R is above my budget. any suggestions?

i also noticed that there are companies that make cat-back systems for the GE. And noticed that the test pipes are not included. true?

If above is true, would you please recommend me a very good cat-back system? with deep dark sounds.

im planning to have T1R test pipe, and some sort of good reliable and deep dark sounds cat-back. sticking to the stock header until warranty expires.

help.

As for a Cat back the ONLY one other than TR1 is Buddy Club. Price is about $600 USD. This is a gorgeous sound as with most Buddy Club products.

Now for the test pipe. A test pipe with a cat back exhaust is gonna be loud. Maybe too loud for your wants. If you get a cat back you should hold off on the test pipe until you hear the sound.

Also you could run a test pipe with axel back exhaust and get the sound you are looking for. So that being said weigh your options and decide.

What axle back do you have now?

my axle back is JASMA brand, dunno if any of you have ever heard of it before...it sounds deeper during idle, when revving sounds is like stock. its kinda silent when cruising. most of the time, i cant really hear the sounds....

cat back is anything after the cat con right? and bpipe is anything after the cat con but not including the muffler/axle back right?

since i already have the muffler/axle back, i just need the bpipe right?

i put in bpipe, test the sound, and if sound not good enough i change the muffler, if the sound not loud enough, i go for testpipe. am i getting it right?

You want a deep, mean sound?

then go to a muffler shop and have them make you a straight pipe. $60 later you have a badass sounding fit... there are multiple users on here that can attest to that

forgot to mention, im driving an auto transmission jazz GE.

it was also mentioned to me that a straight pipe muffler will cause loss of power when going uphill...is that so?

Butt dyno says yes. I felt a noticeable loss of torque. Not huge, but noticeable. if you live in a hilly area, or really need all the power you can get, it might not be the solution for you. wasnt for me ... which is unfortunate, because it sounds so good

Yes, you can just install the test pipe. You would notice a slight gain, but of course, the boast maximum performance, it would be better if you ran a full cat back along with the test pipe.

adding a test pipe will make your car sound very raspy, not deep.

as someone already said, get a muffler shop to cut the resonator and muffler off and run straight pipe through there. that'll be the best/cheapest way to make your fit sound awesome!

the best exhuast set up if you want deepest exhaust

I have the T1R racing converter ( a-jracing.com), T1R B-pipe, and HKS Hi Power muffler, best sounding, Dont get the weapon r header unless you want people to laugh. My car sounds like a V8 engine
