Shocks brands opinion

Hey all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes.

Currently I have a GD3 with Tanabe GF Springs and stock shocks. The shocks are worn up and basically it's bouncing a lot. I'm thinking about buying new shocks but don't know which one yet.

I'm currently looking for a feeling close to stock but I don't know which one could suit it best. Don't know if changing the suspension if recommended as well and which one should give that feeling that I'm looking for.

What are your guys thoughts about the following shocks?

- KyB
- Monroe
- Tokico

Thanks in advance!

I'm running Tokico's HTS (Red) adjustable dampers. Loving every minute of having them. The only downfalls though, price (was expensive 900+ bucks) and availability since I think they are no longer being imported to the US.

You might be able to source some Konis here soon; if not, the Tokico Blues I've heard similar to stock. A little more performance oriented but similar.

Thanks for the advice. Will keep it in mind since some people have told me good and bad props for the Tokico's. Hopefully I can get more feedback from other members as well.

Should be able to set the Tokico HTSs softer than stock if you want... I never tried it personally. My spring rate is WAY to high to attempt it and I'll just bounce around like a pogo stick in the car trying to do so..

At 5 full turns off hard on the front hts and full soft on the rear konis it rode surprisingly comfortable with the swifts...

I now have the fronts at approx 2 full turns off hard, and the rear at 3/4 turn off full soft...

Still sad koni doesn't make a front insert... But the hts do pretty well...
