Dying Alternator? 2007 Fit

I've noticed that since we've owned our 07, the headlights seemed to flicker at idle from inside. I recently took a look from outside. It's noticeable with front and back/reverse. I cleaned up the cables and checked the battery ground.

What should the alt be putting out at idle? I looked and there's some other parts like voltage regulators and such. Should I look at those or anything else before buying a new alternator?

Quick update if you remember me/my Fit: I been doing things to get this car back in shape. Had a misfire with those Amazon coils. Changed the battery to a 51r, and it went away. Still, I installed 4 new Hitachi OEM (053 I been callin em) coils when I did what I believe was the cars 1st valve adjustment ever at 150k. Yes, they were way off, lol. It sings down the highway happy as a lark at 70mph all day now. Thing kinda grows on ya like that. The passenger seat had multiple coffee drinks spilled on it. Managed to get most of it out. Put in a radio and had some interior lighting issues. A loose connection and a couple $1 bulbs was all I needed there. I've been having a tough time finding a driver's side sunshade. The little $5 clip fix won't work because the sun visor was discarded. All in all, we kinda like it though. Thanks!

If the headlights aren't flickering at idle, you're not in a Fit. LOL

As long as the battery is getting charged and the car is starting normally, I would not worry. My understanding is that it's part of Honda's attempt to save fuel when idling. The system is designed to only charge as needed.

Thanks for the quick reply. We've had some pretty cold mornings. Still starts up great. Seems fine actually going, so I won't worry then.
