2007 Fit Hatchback Lock

I have an 07 Fit with a hatchback that no longer locks/unlocks when I hit the lock/unlock buttons on the key fob. The front and rear doors work fine, but I now have to reach through the back and poke a finger through the little hole in the panel to lock and unlock the hatch since it doesn't have a key hole. I've listened in the panel for any noise when unlocking and locking, but there's no noise. I'm ready to just replace the actuator since they're pretty cheap, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else has any ideas before I do that. Is there a separate fuse or anything for the hatchback door lock? I can't seem to find a decent diagram of the fuses.

Check for power to the motor, if no power trace it back ( check fuses, connections ) if there is power at the plug then its the motor.

Do you know if there are separate fuses for the front/rear doors vs the hatch? When I bought the car used it came with a 2010 owners manual () and I haven't been able to find that information anywhere.

No I don't sorry as I'm new to the Fit's, Had my 2008 for a month now. Check for power at the motor connection and trace it back from there, the wiring should pass through a loom from the hatch to the body at top somewhere ( can be a breaking point in wiring due to movement and other issues ) check for any broken wires there. I don't know the wiring color codes to check from the fuse block or anything in that general area as I don't have a repair manual ($17 at autopart stores) which I usually buy when I get a car that needs work that I haven't purchased yet for the Fit. Hopefully someone else might know and chime in, I will search online a bit today to see if I can help further.

But first, get a test light on it and see if it flashes when you lock/unlock the doors, that will weed out power or actuator issues

All the lock actuators are on the same fuse (#28 according to my manual). If you're not hearing the actuator click back and forth, it's either the actuator itself, or wiring. And of those, it's more likely to be the actuator.

Thanks for the info. I've been traveling for work since I posted this, so I haven't had any time to mess with it. I'll probably just get a new actuator and swap that out when I'm home again.

You are well-advised to lubricate the manual lock mechanism too. If the handle binds the door might not release.

I squirt some oil in the outside handle pivots every oil change, since ours bound up after 7 years of use.
