I need a good book.

I'm just wondering is there a good book anyone would recommend for reading on Honda's 1.5 motor, I'm thinking of replacing the motor with the same new motor, and don't have a clue how to do it. I'm not interested in a k-20, for more power or anything like that, but when the motor goes, I'd like to put another one in ... any thoughts.

So, like a service manual? That should have a lot of information on how to replace a lot of things in the engine from which you could probably figure out how to replace the entire engine. I'm not the smartest member here, but I think you'd just have to disconnect all the belts/hoses/etc, loosen the motor mounts, and lift/drop the engine. You shouldn't have to replace the engine anytime soon as they last for a long time with high miles/kilometres.

yep sounds like you want a Honda fit factory service manual aka how to tear your fit completely apart, inspect and/or measure sizes, and put it back together.

having done that for several customers; the best way is go to a junkyard, pick out an engine just like yours with as few miles as possible and simply take the old one out and drop in the new one.
any honda shop manual, from honda, will have a detailed procedure for disconnecting, removal, replacement, and reconnecting.
most salvage yards will also do the job with you so you can see just how its done. dealers will to, but not with you watching.

Hi guys , I'm from Russia and have a Honda Fit Sport gd3 of America. Very difficult to find spare parts for repair , as there are differences from other gd models. Really want to find a catalog of repair in electronic form with the wiring diagram . Help if you can. Thanks in advance and sorry for the content . Google Translate.

If you are referring to this free one online: http://www.hondafitjazz.com/manual.htm

It's a good reference point but as you already stated, things are different than the 2007-2008 USDM Honda Fit. It's a good guide to use but I'm not sure what is different and what isn't. The motor on that manual is the 1.4 and US model is 1.5

I don't quite understand you. You don't like the manual guide sell for money?

Yes, you're right. Engine differences are almost there. But there are differences in the suspension, electronics and automobile. So wanted to know if there is a manual of repair for a fit to the usa? In Russia there is no such thing. For$ 100 I can buy 2 of the shock absorber kayba. For book repair is very expensive!
