Engine swaps for the fit ?

I'm new to the forum and am wondering if anyone has thought about swapping other motors into the fit like a b18 or something I know a k20 would be a wicked swap but lack of funds and knowledge would prevent me from trying it if any one has any suggestions on how I can bring my 2008 honda fit up to about 200 horsepower I would really appreciate it

contact hasport and do a k20 swap.

b18c swaps have been done in the philipines but not an exactly legal swap for the states at least, not sure of the laws in Canada.

Also consider adding forged rods and pistons to your stock l15, add a flashpro, rdx injectors, and a t25 turbo and you could have your 200hp rather realiably.

Joking aside, funds are a major component to any performance gains. The question you should ask yourself is what is your goal with the Fit?

When you relaize the goal you can then make a place of action towards it. For example if you run H-stock in AutoX you can do very little mods but have fun.

K20 swap is expensive, and you would be better off selling your Fit and getting a Teg or Si or something.

If I were to aim for something like 200 hp, I'd consider building the L15.

Personally, I would buy a good low mile L15 or pull one from a wrecked Fit, then build it up. Pistons, rods, cams, and some mild porting, get it ready for that turbo. That way you can continue to actually drive your car as you build your motor. But then again not everyone can afford to buy another motor.

To build the L15 is costly as well. Just Pistons, rods, and cams will run you $1000. Then you figure the head work and all the gaskets will set ya another $1000 easily if not more. I would have to crunch the numbers but just from what I've spent on NA parts I would say a good turbo kit and build would easily run you $6K.

Depending on the K you get you could get a full running swap around the $8K mark. If you put some parts into yeah $10k but shit ton of power over the L15 that's nearly maxed out.

I concur with MNfit. ebay t25 manifold, sr20 t25 turbo, hondata flashpro, ebay interooler, ebay 2" intercooler piping, rdx injectors, probably an exedy clutch.

have a shop fab a down pipe and the intercooler piping. Have them weld a bung on the oil pan and make an oil supply line.

have a reputable tuner go to town and BOOM!!!

so you are looking at about $2,500 for 175whp.

Yeah but the 240 engine bay has a tad bit more room then the Fit's. People shoehorn those K20 SC in there.

well I'm not looking for anything super extra power for the stock engine that is in the car, but I'm wondering, if when the motor does decide to quit, I like to put another one in it( same engine), or would it be cheaper to try and rebuild the stock motor while it's in the car, If that is even plausible. If I had to go and put another motor in it, I'd still go with Honda's original choice, the motor so far hasn't skipped a beat, (let's all knock on wood) do you think 700. oo buck's is about the mark for a stock motor Purchase. thoughts
