Parking Light Replacement Issues! Help! [SOLVED]

Well, I just got to replacing the parking light bulbs through the old painful fender liner way. I thought it was going to be just like the DIY (https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ng-lights.html)

However, unlike the bulb connector dongle housing thingy-majig, is much different in my Fit, and it doesn't want to f***in come off!

DIY parking light 'dongle'

I tried everything to get it off, twisting it, pulling it, heck, even pushing it.
I hate seeing one of the parking lights not functioning.

Only option is to lightly heat up the location or just pull strongly

those can be a bitch. spray sum kind of lubricant on the mating surfaces if u can. im pretty sure its twist so just keep twisting away! it should be counter clockwise.

Okay, now I'm confused, one guy is telling me to pull hard the other one is telling me to twist. I'll do a combination of both and get back to you guys.

Yeah, I got it.

Finally, after 20 more minutes of struggling I finally got it to turn, I used a ton of force with pliers to twist it counterclockwise, then I yanked on it once...nothing happened, yanked on it twice, it move just a it, and the third time it came right out!

I was planning on replacing both sides, because I knew the other one would appear dimmer, but f-that idea, I'm not going through the hassle again.
