So the 07 sport has a rough idle when you put it into Drive or Reverse but when you go back to Park its not as bad...also if you rev to 2k and let off the gas completely. the rpm drops as expected but then goes to like 200 or so and almost dies but the engine recuperates and goes to the 900rpm idle


also with the loss in mpg and the stutter with power, would that be a bad fuel injector CEL P0302


If so, would cleaners work or just replace that one, or should replace all 4?


BTW new part list- 4spark plugs, 4coil packs, MF catalytic converter

 

Have you had the valves adjusted? (Valve lashing)

 

P0302 = Cylinder Number 2 Misfire


Misfiring
Lack of power
Stalling
RPM issues

these are the symptoms of a bad coil pack(s)

It's the coil packs. 98% sure about that. The other 2% is possibly the valves.

 

we thought it was the packs so we moved them to different cylinders and its still the #2 misfire...after clearing the CEL and codes...and we also installed new plugs thinking it was them but still get the code.

I just hope its not a weak cylinder

Did you use OEM packs?

Also, just get a valve adjustment done. It could just be that.
