Fake Megan Racing Header

I recently purchased a Megan Racing header and down pipe from a vender on eBay. The header has no MR badge or markings identifying it as a authentic MR header. The down pipe came in a more legit box with stickers and a warranty card. The welds look way cleaner and has a MR badge.

Does anyone have a MR they purchased without a badge or any indentifing marks?

Thanks!

Maybe you should contact Megan Racing and ask them. They might like to know about this if it is a fake. Ebay may be able to help you as well.

lol, Megan Racing makes 'fake' parts.

So, no, there is no such thing as fake Megan parts.

You're just expecting features of a quality part on a cheap part.

Faking fake parts. That should be a crime, lol!

But really, I'd contact eBay, or get the seller to give you a refund.

Haha I know MR it not Mugen quality, but bang for the buck its pretty decent parts.

Yeah I am going contact MR and Ebay this week. Actually going to be in the LA area to stop by MR. I was just curious to see if anyone experience this or came across a header like this.

I had BRIEFLY owned a Megan Racing header... And by briefly I mean: ordered and opened the box, inspected the header, then promptly put back in box after being disappointed in the weld quality and the fact that it seemed like no one even bothered trying to drimmel or grind off the excess metal (though it is hard to reach due to spacing) inside of the collector seemed a bit off for me.

I never installed that header and in fact gave it to a friend on mine... I don't recall if there was a tag with Megan Racing's logo welded on the pipes for cylinders 2 and 3 or not. Though I may be able to get pictures of it to compare if needed.

Megan's not that bad. I saw GE pipes and they seemed pretty top quality.

Generally speaking... It would be easier to weld piping for GE's since their "headers" are integrated with the head (at least state side) since effectively speaking the welder will be welding on one tube and flanges for the entire exhaust (not including any mufflers or resonators).

The larger the pipe diameter, the easier it is to weld.

The down pipe is actually nice quality. The header not so nice on the welds.

So I called MR today to confirm the product is authentic and it turns out it is. They remember shipping the order out. Problem is the guy at MR told me the old was old product in the warehouse. They are not getting any new product for a while for the FIT. Pretty much bulkshit that I get stuck with the old shit. Even if I ordered the header from MR it would have been the same header. So basically the pictures on the website do not match the product they sell. Lame! Good thing for paypal. Shits getting returned. Gonna go T1R.

Thanks everyone!
