Rear wiper arm removal

Hey guys,
My rear wiper motor burned out on an 07 fit. So I got one from eBay, followed instructions on the DIY to replace and mod it to stand up right. No problems. How does one go about removing the rear wiper arm? The thing is stuck as stuck can get. Soaked it with wd40 to no avail. I'm afraid to damage anything. I've been pulling at it as suggested quite hard. Any tips/tricks?

Removal

Usually, people forget to remove the nut first. After that, it usually takes a little jiggling and twisting while pulling outward.

Got the nut off, the arm was giving me problems, but I picked up some PB Blaster and it came off like a dream. Mod installed.

After removing the nut you justpull or pry thearm off a grooved shaft. It is tight but the trick is pulling the arm straight out and not bend the arm. When you pry use a cloth, pad etc to protect the paint.
And check the position of the arm so you can align it when its reinstalled.

The nut is the pivot of the arm; its under a plastic 'cover' that must be unclipped to access the nut.
