Improving Cosmetics 2007 Fit

I bought a used 2007 Honda Fit and I absolutely love it but it is a used car and I would like to improve some of the cosmetics if there are cheap solutions.

The 2007 Fit doesn't have a foot rest, but where a foot rest would be the carpet is pulled back. Does anyone know a easy way to tuck it back and get it to stay?

Also below the hatch on the back on the bumper is some black protective material. This material is peeling. Does anyone know what it's called and if it's possible to patch or replace it?

Lastly there are some blemishes on the dash and the glove compartment. They're not too bad but if there is something to make them less noticeable for cheap I'd definitely be interested in that.

Thanks for any suggestions!

The protective bumper applique is here:
Honda Rear Bumper Applique (Fit) - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

Ours isn't peeling. Yours might not have been cleaned adequately before application...or, it's aftermarket.

Dead Pedal here:

If all you want to do is stick a flapping carpet back down, you could use contact adhesive. Best to buy an automotive product that is made to withstand heat in car interiors...so, buy from an autoparts store.
