Sounds pretty close to normal except maybe the flywheel part. How do they know it needs resurfacing if they haven't taken the old clutch out yet?

You could probably get a whole clutch kit for the price of the flywheel you have listed.

7 hours for a clutch? Serious? That's how long it took me and my buddy to do a CL on jack stands. Now if it was on a hoist we would have been done in 4 hours. Trying to drop a tranny when you are laying on your back is a pain. Having said that though we did it in 7 hours. The shop will have hoist so 7 hours I feel is excessive. Same with the flywheel price.

BUY the clutch kit from exedy online

ebay will have the best price most likely

you do NOT need a new flywheel if yours is undamaged. Have the shop surface it.

That shop will probably surface it anyways and charge a replacement. who is going to tear apart a motor and tranny to verify?

Ask for pictures if they claim any parts were unuseable outside of the clutch. You are entitled to VERIFICATION
