GE m2 performance springs on a GD?

hi guys,

wanting to drop my GD1, got it running on 17x7.5's I know that's a lot of tread but it looks fantastic. Very aggressive, there will be a supercharger in this soon so it'll be good to go...eventually. But! The 17's have made it ride like a frikin 4wd, the m2 performance springs on ebay are my choice purely for the drop until coilovers go in when its track ready. Ive read lots of people say gd springs/full suspension assembly fits fine in a GE (this is the stock GD suspension transferred to a GE), I want to know, will these GE m2 performance springs (only ones with a 2" drop that are cheap) fit on my GD? If someone tells me yes no prob, i'll be buying these suckers straight away!

IIRC GD shocks are shorter than the GE, so I don't think it'll work because the spring would be too long. Swapping the whole suspension is a different story because the shock lengths match.

Just get springs that are made for your car?

Yea... I would not do this! The rates for GE springs also tend to be much softer since the GE has a stiffer chassis.

If you want a 2+ inch drop from Springs, the only GD springs that did that were the Eibach Sport Line ones. Here is a detailed comparison of the once available GD springs:

Or, you could just jump into the group buy for the Basic coilovers from T1R through A&J Racing... https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/aj-r...1r-basics.html

Was asking cause the Ge springs are sooo much cheaper than the GD springs The M2's seem pretty cheap and ive heard they're decent! 1.5inch may be enough, may be all I can do considering the 17's, I can get some BC coilovers for $450, bargain?

OT a bit but what supercharger are you planning on buying? A lot of members will like to know.
