Question what parts would you like to have available?

like the title says, what aftermarket/performance parts would you like to see available that are not currently being produced?

i am a cad/cam programmer and machinist by trade and im looking for my next project. my top 3 ideas are:

1. adjustable cam gear
2. fuel rail
3. "A" arm

depending on the part it would be billet from 7075 aluminum.

what would you guys like to see?
i would love to do a head. i have the necessarily equipment just not the knowledge about heads in general.

looking forward to hearing your ideas.

the tubular lca is something i dont have the equipment to do (tube bender)
but adjustable camber plates are very doable, actually extremely doable. this is what your talking about correct?

Cusco Upper Pillowball Camber Plates Honda Civic EG/EK 92-00

right now im trying to find a decently priced stock cam gear to take measurements from to do the adjustable.

what else you got in mind?

i remember dsm metioning a want for an adjustable cam gear in a thread awhile back....

CAMBER PLATES WOULD BE AMAZEBALLS!

People have only told me that it "can't" be done.... And since I've now gone through 2 sets of strut bearings -___- AND Camber bolts are not allowing me to get the camber I need now on the shorter bodied Skunk2 coils... AND the top OE rubber top hats can, well, get less reliable at sustained cornering G's and begin to have "self adjusting caster." Mega no bueno. Only thing out there now is the Cusco "center lock style." Special order only and $300+ Name: 3866SR01S.jpg

Also a way to incorporate a needle thrust bearing so that pre load is easily adjustable and to cut down on binding...

Not sure... I think it has something to do with the way the upper strut mounts.

I included the pic of the Cusco mounts above for what ever reference they can be...

Ideally it would involve NO CUTTING or major modification to the upper strut tower (SCCA Class rules) and allow for adjustment of up to no less than -3.0... Ideally

DSM, can you get him a cam gear of one of your L's?

Otherwise they can be ordered for under $50, part number 14211-PWA-000 : SPROCKET, CAM CHAIN DRIVEN (46T) - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

May have been over tightened... but cracked nearly in half. The bearing grease was running down the piston of the damper and I thought I was SOL and they were blown

ill check it out tonight. there has to be a way to do it. even if its not in the conventional camber plate style.

i hate having to cut into my cars unless it is deemed a toy. so im with you on that.

i found a gear at my local junk yard. im gonna pick it up tonight along with a few other odds and ends.

right now i have about 5 different wiper delete plugs to program and make so it will be a few days til i get a machine open anyway.plenty of time to design

Mostly been watching this guy's work and seeing what he did: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ml#post1179424

Not sure if it would be specific per the coil over or not:

ive seen that thread. im pretty sure he found a thrust bearing that would fit and just added it. i know alot of higher end coilover kits have those already. as for doing a camber plate kit, it wouldnt be hard to integrate into the plate. but like i said, its only a mental image at the moment.

Also, Maybe I should shoot you the rules I have to adhere too.. Not 100% sure I can do the spherical...

Here is the link to my DropBox and the 2013 SCCA rules for solo:
http://db.tt/BazRz2MW

I run in Street Touring (ST) currently, page 81-89. Section 14.8 Section is suspension. Section C seems to apply:
"The following allowances apply to strut-type suspensions. Adjustable
camber plates may be installed at the top of the strut and the original
upper mounting holes may be slotted. The drilling of holes in order to
perform the installation is permitted. The center clearance hole may
not be modified. Any type of bearing or bushing may be used in the
adjustable camber plate attachment to the strut. The installation may
incorporate an alternate upper spring perch/seat and/or mounting
block (bearing mount). Any ride height change resulting from installation
of camber plates is allowed. Caster changes resulting from the
use of camber plates are permitted."

MORE CASTER PLEASE!!!

i would include caster adjustment as well.

as far as the rules go looks like we should be able to do this without breaking any of them. it did say any type of bearing is allowed.
