Rims and fault code

Rims and fault code
Hello, I'm new to the site. I assume the GD and the GE, which define the 1rst and second generations, are within the VIN. I believe I have a GD first gen model.
I live in WI, and wonder if other WI owners slide around through the winter like I seem to. Wondering if another set of rims and more aggressive snow tires would help. Rim choices?, and how is the pressure sending device dealt with?
Lastly, engine icon fault light is now on. Local shop says they've no idea, something to do with evap system. Honda dealer, over the phone said the fault code 2422 may be caused by the fuel filler cap being loose. It'd need to reset with normal driving over two days after I retighten the cap. Thoughts?
Thanks, folks. Next time I do a better job of researching the previous threads.

Regards sliding in snow, yes, another set of rims with dedicated snow tires would stop that.
The '07 did NOT have TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) but the '08 - on did. The Honda system can only recognize four sensors at once. So, a trip to to the dealer (or these days, perhaps a tire store) is required to make the system accept the different sensors each changeover. Of course, you could just ignore the light in the dash.
