First honda, and first fit :)

Hi everyone I'm John. I just bought a 07 fit two days ago with 64000. It's the sport edition. Is there anything I should know about these cars? And I am looking for recommendations in basic bolt ins? What brands are best/ recommended for this particular fit wanna keep it smog legal and basic so I don't void my carmax warranty . I previously had a focus zx3 that was pretty modified so at least wanting to do a catback/ axle back whatever is best, and a cold air intake thanks guys.

Save your money and just maintain it. At least don't buy any "cold air intake" or "short air intake" crap that seems to have poisoned our marketplace.

So cold air intakes and short rams don't really help a little with gas, and help a little with throttle response?

Google it. There's plenty of info on the web about it. Try "short intake scam". Just don't read the manufacturers web sites about it. I posted some links here somewhere to good sites that did independent testing. Furthermore, the physics and engineering behind the claims do not support. If it worked, if it really boosted volumetric efficiency of an engine, the first people to jump on it would be the manufacturers of the vehicles.

Get an intake if you want. Sounds alot better than stock and if you get one with a dry flow filter you wont have to buy any paper filters or oil any crappy k&n filters.

I recommend getting the hondata flashpro unit for your fit. A couple of people on here have had great results using them as well as getting an increase in throttle response and fuel mileage. Aj racing is doing another group buy too. I plan on ordering one once my tax return comes in

I doubt I can. It will probably void my carmax warranty, but can u program the car back to stock settings with this unit?

Yes with the hondata flashpro unit you can revert everything back to OEM settings.

It's very unclear what one is buying for $700. For that kind of money I should get a plug and play product that gives a particular hp/tq curve vs stock.

Well seeing how that it's a company that's known to produce great results in real world applications and also reading how other users here have had positive results i'm gonna say yeah for 700 it's a product worth investing in

Ok, maybe you're right, and maybe I'm not clear on what the product does. But, I once bought a chip for a turbo car I have that gave it x more hp over stock, and it did. So that's all I'm sayin, is whuddya get with it?
