Just Moved to Madison from New York

Just made a 1000 mile journey from Long Island New York to Madison Wisconsin. That was one hell of a drive with my loaded fit. Since I'm new the area anyone can bring me up to date on any specific car mod laws I should be aware of (tinted windows, lowered car, exhaust, etc.)? Just want a heads up before i start doing anything to my car so i dont get dinged.
Also anyone in the Madison area know a place for a manual car wash?
P.S. Driving stick here in Madison is rough...bikers, random turns, and construction everywhere...still a nice place tho.

I'm from near Madison, I assume you live in Dane county? IDK how the police are there, but WI in general is super laid back about cars. My last four cars have all been lowered and had aftermarket exhausts, all without issue. Tint laws are 50% Front/35% rear, I ran 35% all around in the past without issue.

If you wait until after this winter I could probably throw my springs your way, too.

Hope that helped.

I have Tein springs. The drop isn't anything too crazy, I rarely scrape, even with my lip.

This is the best pic I have of the drop:

If they didn't bug me iback when I had my old rust bucket 1992 Laser with 3.5" open downpipe off the turbo and atmosphere dumped wastegates (you could hear for miles on WOT) on the 50-60 trips I've made through Madison to Sawyer and Iron county from Illinois.. you'll probably be fine in your Fit as long as it doesn't sound like a chainsaw or have limo tint.. or a teenager at the wheel swerving lane to lane.

Yeah the Fit will be quiet as long as you keep the resonator. With my axleback the stereo completely drowns out the exhaust when cruising, even at low volume.
