fit powertrain longevity?

hey guys

selling the yaris (2 kids + 3dr - A/C = no)

looking at used fits - - mostly 07/08's are in my price range (want a/c and a 5speed)

ive found a few cheapies coming up on 200,000km (120k miles), should i worry about mileage too much? (i have until this point assumed that the fit powertrain has a long lifespan like that of the yaris)

fill me in!

It's all going to depend on how the previous owner took care of it. If regular care and maintenance was done, the mileage should not be a problem. However, if the oil was never changed, the transmission never serviced, etc. then who knows how long it will last. Ask i there are any service records for the vehicle and if in doubt, take it to a trusted mechanic that's familiar with Hondas.

That's pretty well what I assumed. With proper maintenance, the engine with outlast the body (in my climate)

You should be good. The fit isn't a performance beast, so it doesn't need crazy maintenance schedules. You should be good up to 100k miles with only routine stuff (air filter, oil filter, oil change, and possibly a valve adjustment
