Recommend a 2007 Sports armrest for me
Hi there, I can't believe it's actually taken me this long to finally go and get an armrest for my Fit. I love my Fit. It has been so reliable & living in NY, parking this car where no one else can Fit is just a dream.
Has anyone ever bought this product? 2007 2008 HONDA FIT Armrest storage with cup holder
On their product page, it says the installation is easy (though they don't detail what's actually involved) and they also say that the armrest moves forwards & backwards. But there actually isn't a picture of the product in it's forward state. So I really don't know just how far forward it is.
I know whenever I drive my 2008 Accord I always have the arm rest moved all the way forward. That's a factory arm rest though.
There's also less expensive products on ebay that simply rest in the existing rear cupholders. I'm not sure if these are actually the Zeta line, or knockoffs, but even the ones directly from Zeta don't appear to move forward. They just don't look comfortable enough to me. Like just the tip of my elbow would be able to rest on it.
I'm sure I can track down an official honda 2007 Fit armrest somewhere, but installing it myself is something I'm not comfortable with. Besides, I don't want to go out & buy the drill & drill bits, and the 20mm hole saw. All of a sudden i'm adding another 50+ bucks to my purchase, and that's if I just buy a bare bones cheapo power drill.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cool little community you guys got going on here.

Zeta Products makes one. Several people have it on here from what I have read. They make great products too! (I have their dead pedal)
07-08 Honda Fit Storage Armrest
Or if you are feeling like a baller you could buy the JDM center console that comes with it

I'm selling my JDM OEM Armrest along with a few other things. And I'm suppose to be visiting NY/NJ on the 13-15 and can meet you in Manhatten. Let me know.

Have fun in Manhattan. Hopefully it isn't too hot.

That's a shame. I am a friend of Zeta Products, and had one of their GD3 armrests. But the OEM JDM armrest/center console is vastly superior. I bought the JDM armrest in a group buy, and gave my Zeta Products one away, then totaled my GD3 8 hours after installing the new JDM one. Then, with broken ribs and cracked sternum, took out the JDM armrest, put the stock one back in, and sold the JDM one to another local Fit owner.
You probably won't regret buying the Zeta Products rest. Good quality for the cost. It actually holds more stuff than the OEM JDM armrest. Just not as strong.

I installed the Honda Console/armrest in my 2012 Honda basic. Installation went smooth. I didn't buy a holesaw but was able to make a decent hold carefully using a Fortner bit. The armrest doesn't have a beverage older. Yes it does slide forward however my wife is 5'3" and drives with the seat moved forward and she can barely use the armrest - the cost is too much considering the return.
