Parking bulb type?

On the 2008, there are two bulbs I believe above the headlight, they almost are what I would call alligator lights. They flash with the keyless entry. one of the burnt out, and I understand to replace it through the fender by the wheel, I had not removed the bulb, but have gone to several auto part stores to get a bulb, understanding its a 5w bulb, and the make and model of the vehicle, they all say its a special bulb and they don't carry it. I have a problem with this response, can anyone tell me what kind of bulb it is?

Thanks, Ron

Book says 5W amber... Why don't you just pull the bulb and take it with you to the parts store. That would be the next logical step...

Look it up on a replacement bulb manufacturer's website, like Sylvania: Lamp Replacement Guide View All Bulbs

I think it was the 2827, and if not, then maybe 992. I remember the bulb being really small. You can see it through the headlight housing, probably about the size of a fingernail.

It was regular stock at my local Pep Boys so I wouldn't call it a 'special bulb,' but if your local parts stores are small, then maybe it is special.

I was able to change mine from up top instead of going through the fender liner. It's a tight squeeze but doable if your fingers can reach. And replace both sides.
