Newbie tire question

i made it almost 60K miles on stock 2008 Fit Sport tires but need new ones before winter if possible. the dealer wants $135 + for each one. yikes. i realize the stock tires are good and very important for the performance of this car and might buy these tires. but does anyone know of a good or cheaper replacement or should i just get stock replacements. i need all season for sure and dont want to skimp on performance. thanks.

These are getting good reviews on the forum: Continental ExtremeContact DWS

Search forum for them and find a few current threads.

What about the General AltiMax? These have gotten good reviews, but I haven't tried them.

I replaced my stocks with Falken Ziex 912's, stock size... quiet, good ride... fair price... then again I don't live in Michigan. Other than TireRack check out Discount Tires also for pricing.

i just recently purchased kumho ecsta 4x, p195/55/15 from tirerack. ultra high performance all season for 77 each minus $50 prepaid rebate card, plus tirerack and user comments gives them good reviews.

so far i'm liking the tires, they do seem to be quieter and give a more comfortable ride than the stock dunlops
