New & need help

Hi guys (and girls), I'm picking up a used 2008 Fit base (GD3, SSM) later today, and really need some advice, as I'm not afraid to admit I am not very knowledgeable in the subject.

I really would like to upgrade the Fit because I really don't like the stock Base look. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I know I will probably need a body kit of some sort (or not), need some new wheels... can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm sort of on a budget for the time being, and would like to do so the most affordable way I can.

Thanks guys!

If you need OEM Honda fog lights, let me know. I have a new set sealed in the box. It's for adding them to a baseFit...includes wiring, switches, and everything.

Cheapest mod you can do on a budget - functional, not looks.

Actually there is Vinny... maybe not looks but dog choices often reflect the owners character/behavior kinda like cars... Used to have a blue chow - 12 years... one of the oldest breeds.

Best and cheapest two mods you can do to really "feel" the difference for as little money as possible? Intake and rear antisway bar.

I've also cut my exhaust 3/4 of the way down the pipe past the silencer and put a 90 degree bend in. It's a poor mans side exit exaust I know but man does it sound good!

What ever your direction welcome to the party! Freak on!

Hey guys, don't want to come across as a slam but I strongly recommend you get used to your cars first. How can you define a need when you don't know what you want?

(1) Not knowledgeable on the subject
(2) On a budget
(3) 30 days or less with the car

Modders/tuners go for a certain look, performance feel or both. Which direction you take would all depend what you'd like to go after. Sure doesn't sound like you guys bought some "fixer-upers". So take your time. Get to know your cars first. Then you can make an informed decision on what you want to do. No rush with the mods. Stock is cool too. Hope this makes sense. Otherwise its like "Don't know what's wrong but can you fix it?" Good luck! Enjoy your rides and welcome aboard.

I always keep my eyes open in the classified section for used parts. It will give you an idea of what is out there + you can get some deals on lightly used parts at a fraction of the cost.

Is that limo tint all around? Tint is the first thing to do, always.

Cheap mods - colored shifter to match the interior, door sill plates, vinyl cover for rear bumper, steering wheel cover, cargo tray

Not so cheap - JDM visors, Fit sport wheels, fog lamps, wireless entry

I don't like the body skirts.

Don't forget detailing your car - just having a clean car can make it better to drive.
