I was told by an ex Honda Mechanic now with his own shop that changing CVT oil will result in juddering until the oil breaks in. Mine did that exactly and indeed has almost gone in 2000 miles.

No seal leak but is likely the viscosity has to 'wear' down a little to match the component clearances. Why, I have no idea; seems like the new car would also judder.
Just an opinion. Only had a CVT apart and it was long ago. The lubricant qualities needed aren't real apparent. My question to Honda was why did the car new not have any juddering; never got an answer. My guess is the higher mileage changed the clearances or mating and the new oil has to wear down to match. Hmmmmm.
BTW lots of AT mechanics, not me, say the same about changing usual AT fluids. Claim the cars don't shift right for several thusand miles if then regardless of miles or make of car. they steadfastly reciommend not changing AT fluid til 250,000 miles unless rebuilt or forced to.

It is definately in the trans? Or does the entire car shake? Does the steering wheel move? Maybe your not getting enough fuel due to a clogged fuel filter or injector? Are the wheels all balanced correctly?
