What is the difference?!

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of confusion....

I need to upgrade my suspension, the body roll is becoming troublesome haha. So, I need to know what this exactly does: 07-up Honda Fit Strut Bars from Design Motorsports Engineering at Andy's Auto Sport

Does it attach to my engine bay? or does it go on my suspension? I need both the suspension and engine bay bars...I just don't know exactly what they are called and don't want to but the same part twice

any help would be great!

You want the front upper strut and rear upper strut bar. You can even get the C pillar bar that goes near the rear roof of the car. You would also want the rear sway bar to tighten up everything. Just getting those bars do very little for improvement.

Progress Rear sway bar and a front lower tie bar will be the best things you ever put on your car. Strut bars really are not felt that much, not as the two i mentioned. Buy those first. Also a good set of springs or coil overs will help alot as well.

You probably only need new shocks. Most drivers get annoyed with how quickly the body leans rather than how much and thgats a shock absorber fit.
You can also lower with shorter springs with new shocks, often a package deal, but try not to lower more than 1.5"from stock.
Strut bars or anti-sway bars limit body roll but not how quickly it leans. In most cases the quicker the leaning the less cornering and control.

The down side to increasing anti sway bar rates is the limit they put on cornering and to rougher ride.
The function of an antisway bar is to increase the spring rate on an outside wheel by compressing the inside wheel spring as well. That of couse lifts the inside wheel as well which reduces wheel travel and thus the tire 'patch' on the inside. That more rapidly brings the outside tire patch to being the only resistance to sliding. In the real world sliding does occur before the inside tire patch is completely gone but it does reduce cornering ability when the antisway bar is increased much without increasing the spring rates. Sway bars are really used not to limit leaning but to balance front and rear wheel suspension characteristics, that is to try to have understeer and oversteer balanced as closely as possible.
truth as any hipo vehicle will tell you. all things balanced, no antisway bars are best.
PS tire patch is that area of the tread actually in contact with the road. Generally it changes with the load and tire pressure.

If you want to reduce body roll, get coilovers and a rear anti-sway bar.

Like said before, skip bars and get new shocks. To expand a little though, sway bars are for fine tuning your suspension and strut/brace bars are for firming up a chassis. Getting a strut bar to fix body roll is like putting a bandaid on a severed limb.

My old bandaid. I'm not saying bars are bad for the record, I'm just saying buy parts for what they do, and not because of what you "think" they should do.

I like what Swift Mach Sport springs and some stiffer rear shocks did for my car.. I have less body roll and have a firm but not at all uncomfortable ride... I have added rear bars since They seem to have helped but nothing like the springs and shocks.

Thanks for everything guys. I was intending on buying some Megan Coilovers. But I had no Idea that so many people used a Progress Sway bar, they didn't look that good to me, but if they're working then hell yea! haha
