Should I pay for the parking ticket?

I made a parking violation and the officer wrote my license number with crappy hand writing and they also registered it in the computer with wrong license number. The VIN# in the ticket is correct. Should I pay it or do not pay for it and why? My answer is to pay it because I do not want any future problems but I just want hear everybody's thoughts.

I wouldn't mess with the law.
They always come back and get ya!!!!!!
Besides, it's not impossible that your drivers license could get revoked if you don't pay it.
Better to be safe than to be sorry.
nothing worse than driving along the road and getting pulled over for a suspended license that you don't know about. happened to me for not paying a parking ticket.
Either pay the $50.00 for the ticket, or pay $500 surcharge on top of the $50 ticket plus court fees and other fees don't add up to just paying for the ticket..........
Be smart.

i agree. if u piss of the parking cop, they will hunt u down just to get it right next time. i would just pay it. and its not like its a moving violation so its not gonna effect your license by paying it...with the vin right on the ticket, it wont matter about the plate #...judge will just laugh at you...my grandfather is a former district judge so trust me on that one

Always pay. Eventually, when the law catches up to you, you'll be paying quite a bit more even if it was their mistake.

One time I got a speeding ticket and assumed I'd get something in the mail; well a suspended license for Failure to Appear and about $500 in penalties almost cost me my job.

Is it a parking ticket or a moving violation? Sounds like you have a parking ticket... There should be a way to appeal the ticket. Here in Houston there is an office that you can go to to appeal the ticket, you will not ever meet the officer. They may just dismiss or tell you to pay. No big deal. At least you tried.

Take the ticket to the violations bureau and explain to them the mistake the parking officers made on entering the ticket (license #) wrong into the computer system. According to the law, any mistakes made mean the ticket is and should be voided. Ask your lawyer too. If they don't want to void it, then pay it and go on.

Why risk not paying for the ticket, life will be easier after you pay for it.
