RPM drop

Hi All,
I own a Honda Fit 2003, it has done 160,000 kms.
The problem is whenever i shift from N to D , there's a RPM drop and weird vibration in my car ( rpms drops from 800 to 600 or less). I've changed my CVTF lyk before 20,000 kms. The car also vibrates when the brake pedal is pressed on D mode.
Waiting for ya helpful replies.
Thnx

Has it always done this?

I'm not sure if the CVT uses a fluid torque-converter like a traditional automatic, but there's always a bit more resistance in D than N. There's enough slippage to let the engine turn without stalling, but still a load placed on it. It's like sitting at a stop with the clutch let out juuuuust a little bit.

If it's something that's changed over time, it may be a concern. Perhaps have a mechanic give it a lookover?

It started lyk 2 weeks ago. The brake pads have about 70% life.
The vibration is ( For instance, when is start the car after 2 or 3 hours and leave it to warm for 4-5 mins, shifting to D from P makes it vibrate and i can see a RPM drop) I've to press hard on the gas pedal. Similarly, on singnal when i push the brake pedal while the car is engaged in D , I can feel the vibration .

The vibration is more when the engine is a bit cold, lyk it gets normal after 10 mins drive...

Blame it on the load on the engine from the transmission. perfectly normal. If it worries you set the idle rpm when engine is in drive but stopped.
