Used GD3 prices up
Just looking @ Craig's List and E-bay Motors and see our little GD3's up to what we paid for them new! I saw a 2008 TWB w/16k on it for $15,997 That really close to what I paid for my BOM new! Base models @ 13k and 14k w/ 50-80k miles on them! And gas just blew past 3.00 a gallon here this week, 3.05 today .
So maybe our little Fits are worth keep'n awhile longer.

haaaaaaaa I'm going to forward some of these to the dealerships that didn't want to even give me 7000 for a trade on mine with a giant picture of a middle finger. Have fun selling those evos now at 20 mpg pricks!

Yup its funny how that works. Last year around this time I was getting the itch to trade in my fit for a bmw 3 series used because it would save me money to trade a 345/mo payment for a 200/mo payment. But carmax wasn't in the mood for gas sipping fits at that time and only wanted to give me 7k for my fit which i still owed like 14k on. They addmitted that it was based on what they could sell it for right then, and around summer time when everyone flocks in groves to trade in their suv's for more gas efficient cars i might be about to get way more for it. But it's during the summer months that im glad i have my fit.
10 gallon tank that will get you over 300 mi fills up for 30-40 dollars depending on where you live
16-20 gallon tank that only gets you 250 mi fills up for 60-80 bucks and more often... haha suckers!!!

I traded 2 cars (03 RSX and 97 3000gt) for my Fit. It's been the best investment i've ever made. I love the car for its fuel efficiency and practicality. Gas prices in Oregon are up at $3.39 a gallon. I used to commute 20 miles a day to work, now my work moved closer to my house so I only have to commute 10-11 miles a day =).

I was commuting 60 miles a day when i first bought the fit and then in 09 my job moved further so i was commuting 140 miles a day and filling up every two days and I was real thankful for this baby that year. I was driving an element and a 1990 ford truck which were getting 25 and 15 miles on the freeway respectively. So when we decided to sell the ford for the fit, just the pure savings in gas almost paid for most of the monthly payment!
I love this car, but I do regret buying new in some ways. It's nice to know every mile on the car was under my care and watch but I could've been more patient and found an 07 in white which was my first choice used and saved probably 5k bucks. Oh well it's just money right? We make it and waste it everyday.

I'm one of those who bought a used Fit at a higher price!
I have an '07 Sport (SSM of course...) that I bought about a month ago for $12.7. It only had 29K miles on it, and it is seriously in mint shape. (I bought it used from a dealer which brought the price up a bit, if I would have found the same car from an individual, I'm sure I could have gotten a better deal!)
I'm coming from a modified '92 Miata, and even from the Miata, I'm enjoying much much better gas mileage (41.5 MPG on a recent trip Portland-to-Seattle and back). I love how practical it is as well. It's a fantastic car.

The price of a gallon of premium increased 40 cents between my last 2 tanks... Actually it wasn't even a full tank.. I am glad I don't need to drive very often with fuel prices going up the way they are... It will not be long before we are praying for $4.00 a gallon fuel. I can remember buying gas at 20 cents a gallon during gas wars between oil companies.

I just bought my '07 SSM Base A/T with just shy of 100k for $7800 at a Honda dealer. Its a bone stock one owner in pretty good shape and was serviced at Honda every six months since new, I'll take that at face value until I go to the dealer it was serviced at and get copies of the records.
The first time I took it to the gas station I laughed, $31 to fill it, the Dodge Ram I traded in was $70 to fill, and I got the same range out of the tank of gas.

Yup, gas prices are $4+ in Cali right now. I filled up around 9 gallons and still paid around $37. I have one of the worst gas mileage Fit's on this site probably. Only getting about 26.5 mixed now that I have fatter tires, but I don't mind.
I love my GD, but I get sick of things quickly and I love to buy/sell/trade stuff. I 'd get rid of the Fit but there's nothing else in a reasonable price range that I could see myself wanting to drive. Civic Si FG2's are cool, but I wouldn't want to own that model since the new generation of Civics are just around the corner. Plus I think it's wisest to not endure another car payment right now.
