I bought a base 2008 honda fit about a month ago. I think its an ok car, i sold my 2009 mini cooper s, i just wish the fit was close to as fast.

But im ok with it, i just needed a daily driver to put alot of mileson

I got a good deal i think? paid 4500 for the fit, its a base and i want to make it sportier so i added a few mods, and have more parts on their way. i wish i would have took a before pic but i didnt. i worked on the car a couple hours last night and put on a oem spoiler $50 from a junkyard, aem cai $99, and a aspec axel back $140.

I have on order a lip kit, red badges, and lowering springs, then after i sell a couple more things im going to get some rims, might be done after that but ill have to see

smart choices so far and you got a really good deal. i don't think you will be able to get it quite as quick as a cooper s unless you do an engine swap or forced induction (turbo or sc).

welcome to the club. i've owned my fit for less than 2 weeks and have already done the list of mods on my sig.... hah!

a few good DIYs:

Gas Pedal Spring Mod (makes the pedal stiffer and more comfortable for distance driving)
JDM Wiper mod "stiffy" (vertical rear wiper mod -- super easy)

also look in to getting fog lights, honda dealers sell em in black.

welcome, deffintly seems like a good price and you got a good start on the car. Is the car AT or MT? If its MT you could probable make as quick as the Cooper S with boost.

I love the FIT, but as a former MINI owner I have to know the rest of this story....

it's not real JDM but the person who started the thread thought it was and titled the thread that way. i just typed it the same way so he could find it easily.

Look into sway bars.
The rear is an easy install and gives a bit more life to the handling

I would have kept the mini. Although thinking of selling my 06 jetta TDI for a fit. I would sleep better at night.

By the way I bought the lip kit from eBay . It was like 160 shipped I think.
I bought the paint from automotive touchup , base and clearcoat in aerosolized cans for 30 bucks and it matches almost perfect

My wife has the sport model and because it's missing a side skirt I was going to take the other side off too and maybe get rid of the front and rear lip so everything matches.
