Not lowered yet 17 inch speedy lite -9 rims

Problem though- I'm already rubbing when I hit any significant bump

lol @ the people who are saying the Mini is faster.

Faster stock? yes.
More potential? IMO the GD3 has the advantage.

Having owned both, I can tell you this statement is not even close to being accurate.

I love my GD3, but it is no MINI - stock or modified.

How low are you? A few "minor" adjustment can remedy that problem. Depending on yur drop.

welcome to the club. i've owned my fit for less than 2 weeks and have already done the list of mods on my sig.... hah!

a few good DIYs:

Gas Pedal Spring Mod (makes the pedal stiffer and more comfortable for distance driving)
JDM Wiper mod "stiffy" (vertical rear wiper mod -- super easy)

also look in to getting fog lights, honda dealers sell em in black.
welcome to the club.

Yay, you posted a video of an $18,000 FIT with $40,000 in race modifications as an answer. Yea, that makes sense.

You said the Mini has more performance potential. I called you out on it.

Attention all units we have a hijacking in progress, please be aware suspects are arguing and frustrated!

Haha Good debate guys but wrong place to handle it. Im surprised a fit owner on a fit forum is taking sides with the german engineering...

You proved that by pouring huge sums of cash into a FIT, you can make it go a lot faster. I'm pretty sure that equation works regardless of what car you're talking about. Unless you have spent time driving both cars, you really aren't in the same position to form an opinion as someone who has put many, many miles on both cars. But it's cool, I appreciate your enthusiasm for the car you own. Heck, I love mine too - that's why I'm on this forum.

Couldn't agree more. I've thrown my $.02 into the ring, albeit in the wrong thread, and my system has been cleansed. If someone actually wants to start a MINI vs Fit thread, I'm pretty sure I would as much interest in it as I do continuing this hijack. So as a gesture of good faith, I will add this to anyone's future mods list....get a 51R battery. The stock battery is terrible, and it WILL let you down when you least expect it.

Carry on!

Hey this is my thread !!!

I have owned both. Mini and fit . I love my fit, but truth is that the mini is hands down a better car and faster, stock or modded.

This 40k fit your referring to , how much on the car is actually fit parts other than the body and frame? Not even a fit anymore.

As for the mini it is fast to start and with a few thousand can be a very fast car. The original suspension, brakes , wheels, tires are all higher quality.

The fact is sorry the mini is better. But the mini s also starts at 23k or something like that. Where te fit is 10k less , so do you really expect the fit the be that much better?
