is this normal? need your input

Hi everyone--I need your help! I just got my 2007 Fit (Base, not Sport) back from the body shop after a somewhat minor accident (slipped on ice and landed in a ditch), and a couple things don't look quite right to me.
In the aftermath of the accident, my hood was bumped up a couple inches, and now that it's been worked on, the hood is sitting up about a quarter of an inch or more--in other words, it's not flush with the bumper. (However, the hood is flush with the fenders up by the windshield.)

I wanted to compare it to an unblemished Fit to see if the hood is really supposed to fit that way (I really don't remember it looking that way before, but then I wasn't examining it so thoroughly), but I can't find an '07 Fit anywhere in this town to compare it to. I've looked at a bunch of photos, and in some pictures the Fit hood looks a little raised, but not in all.
Please tell me, what does your Fit look like? Does this sound normal, or do I have to take it back to the body shop?

you can't really tell in the pic posted above because of the lighting (the sun shines directly into the gap between the bumper and hood), but the hood doesn't sit flush with the front bumper on the 07-08 fits.

the hood will line up with the fenders. you'll still be able to see the rubber stripping between the bumper and hood when the hood's securely closed. from your description, your hood is normal, but please post a few pictures and that will help

If you think it's not right, just take it back to the shop and tell them to realign the frame.

That's what my bumper looks like and I haven't had anything done to the from of the car. I always noticed that there was kind of a large gap between the hood and bumper, but that's just how it was manufactured I guess.
