Accessory Socket not working

Hello Everyone. I have learned a lot from all of the posts on here but I have not seen any information on this problem. About 2-3 months ago I went to use my accessory socket only to find out that it was no longer working. I tried the same device in another car and it worked so it is for sure the socket. Looking at the part it only costs $20.....however.....talking to the dealer im looking at another $100 or more for them to install it. I have an 07 base model fit and i have looked at try to get the socket out but am unsure how to go about it. It appears that the whole center console area does come off (there are two screws in the back and two tab like things in the front but what about the shifter and e brake? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Checked all of the fuses associated with it and couldn't find one that was bad. I have read a few things on here about disconnecting the battery for a certain time and it ressetting things. Would this be an option?

It could possibly be just dirty contacts. If you have a voltmeter you could try slightly scratching the metal with the probes and see if you get a reading.

Check fuse 27 rating 15Amps in the Under Dash Fuse/Relay Box

By check I mean physically pull out the fuse and check with a multimeter.

Have not seen a Accessory socket go bad
