Question Security alarm system

How many of you feel comfortable with your stock alarm system? I know at least one fit owner that had his Fit stolen with oem alarm. I installed a aftermarket Clifford alarm on mine with an inside the cab motion detector, remote-start up and it will page me within one mile if my alarm is activated too! Does any body know about the coding on these alarms? Can somebody de-code your alarm (externally with a device) and steal it?

I've been thinking of replacing my OEM alarm too. Bear in mind that if they want to steal your car, they will steal it no matter what kind of alarm you have installed. Some will just make 'em do it longer . Anyways how much did your new alarm cost you?

Yeah! you are spot on, if they "really want your car..with enough time they'll get it However; the pager will alert you and hopefully you can respond quickly - decreasing the time for the thief from gettin' it before you can return back to your ride. Also if my alarm is on even with the windows down, just putting your hand inside the cab (snatch and grab) to steal anything the alarm will active and page me.
I purchased the system on-line and and had a car Security Alarm co. install it for me. total cost was $300.00, if you purchased it from the alarm store installed it runs anywhere from $400 to $500.

That's a good feature and good price.

Clifford alarm has "code hopping" system, which means that every time you press a button, the code is changed, so it is kinda hard to tap to "the code".

That's nice. Does all of the Clifford alarm model have this code hopping feature?
