Spring Help

There are some really good write ups in the suspension forum about spring rates, ride heights and other general info about ride quality etc... I just installed the Tein S-Techs and I love them so far. Real good ride quality, better handling, and looks like a beast. Really all depends on what you are going for though. Race, Street, Looks, or a good combo of all. Got my S-Techs for $175 + $20 Shipping off E-Bay. Got em in about 4 business days UPS.

I've installed the GF210 and i find them too bouncy... i went with them because they gave me the least drop, but with good performance... comfort is good, and with the progress sway bar it corners like a go kart! if i would do it again i would probably try swift springs, they really have the best reviews so far... the drop is 1.2" front and 1" rear... but go with tein if you want more drop 1.8/1.2 and finally, i think the eibach sportlines drop even further, but i don't have any numbers... so basically it depends of the drop you want... (btw the gf210 are excellent besides the bouncy down side...)

If you really want a smooth ride stick with your stock springs. Changing the shocks might help make things smoother though. Lower springs are not the key to comfort though.

Second that. I would suggest getting coils if your budget allows. Changing just the spring will somehow decrease the comfort of the ride. You might consider getting koni + swift spring.

I havent heard anything about them on Fits, but along with you, a lot of people like them alot. After riding in my friends Civic after he installed them, night and day it seemed almost.

Someone else also mentioned just getting coilovers if you have the money, that would be your best bet man.

Granted the coils are your best bet for a big drop but just how smooooth is the ride?

Swift Springs for the win. Smooth ride and not bouncy at all. It makes the suspension a bit firm so you know the shocks are working. And the drop isn't super agressive. Mild drop.

Im on Eibach Sportlines right now. 2 inches in the back 1.8 in the front. I got no complaints, people in the backseat might have trouble sleeping tho haha. It's a little bouncy but hey that's what you get for putting on springs, there's really no way it'll feel as comfortable as stock.
