Bye GD3 :(

So my GD3 was totaled in an accident a few weeks ago... prepare your tissues...

Some dude wasn't paying attention on the freeway and rear ended me at around 30... severe frame damage and whatnot meant it was around 11G of damage... Buckling under the rear seats and all that. So totaled it was.

Now I had been looking at these forever and finally found one! I am hoping things with this bad boy work out, it's a dream come true

Now you're really gonna need those tissues...

6-speed with under 50K miles and 1 owner! But I'll always be a GD3 guy at heart

Nice TSX are so sick. With just some rims they are very clean. To bad i can't see the pics here at work. But i just saw them on my Cell. Hmm may i ask what made u move to the TSX over another Fit. There is so many cars out there i want. But for my funds and me trying to budget my money better the Fit just made sense to me.

Yikes, if yours was totaled looking like that, mine doesn't have a chance.

Happened yesterday, some lady rear ended me. I was at a complete stop, waiting to turn left, and I don't think she braked at all. Going 35, maybe 40. Not fun.

I love the looks of the wagon version of the TSX. Shame they don't offer it here.

OUCH to that red GD3!! I hope it works out... Depends on insurance and other things as well! But if you want it fixed I hope it works out that way

So back in 08 I really wanted a TSX 6-speed, but they were impossible to find back then (just like now) with decent mileage, but nowadays they have come down in price so I figured what better time to look? My only options were really civic SI hatch 03-07ish (I like the looks of the type R civic of this gen, not so much the SI) S2000 (Waaay too impractical in rainy pacific NW, and also with myself being 6'2") Subaru Legacy 2.5GT (Also difficult to find in manual tranny) and of course the gorgeous but not very exciting TSX. This was too good an opportunity to pass up... for the same price as a base GE with 110hp wouldn't you rather an 06 205 hp 6-speed TSX with under 50K?? I haven't gotten it from the seller yet physically as it is the holiday weekend... but I really can't wait

Oh and I can't say for maint prices on TSX yet thus far... according to edmunds true cost of ownership I think tsx was .45c/mile vs. 37c/mile for fit... So a bit worse... but for example lexus IS300 is 52c/mile. Luckily I am paying less per month for this TSX than I was for the fit so I can save more to pay for those little things... including premium fuel :X Worth it I hope!

Oh i see so u got the TSX for $15k or less. I was thinking you were paying around $20k for it. Nice i have not seen any TSXs with that low of miles for that price. Good find now i know why you went with the TSX

16 actually! So I guess a GE with an option or two :P They are pretty low price these days... KBB for good with that mileage was 16.7G. As he was planning on trading it in for a new TSX and the dealer only wanted to give him 14 for it, its a win-win for everybody!!

I can't believe someone who owned the old TSX would want the new one. It's such a nice looking car and it's the right size and more agile, etc. Good work snagging the car.

I'm skeptical that it would ever be the same again if repaired - especially with how inflexible our rear suspensions are when it comes to alignment . . . so I guess I'm hoping it's totaled.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for yours? And what year/mileage were you at? I'm curious whether to expect something close to retail value (~$13,500) or trade-in value (~$9,500) for mine.

I just got the TSX today... I've gotta say I've absolutely fallen in love with it. Tight as a drum after 50K, really quick and fun as hell with the 6-speed. I hoped that I could've kept the Fit forever and that wasn't meant to be... but if I can keep this TSX forever I will be a very fortunate, happy man. My favorite part is the ambient blue light pointing at the center console... so cool! But I still miss my Fit :'(

Quick update on mine - yeah, totaled. Getting 12k & change for it, which I think is totally fair. I'm impressed with Geico, they submitted data for no fewer than 20 different Fits for sale within 100 miles that they based their market value on. Anyway, just need to make sure I'm getting reimbursed for my rental before I sign off on everything.

Yeah, I'm bummed about the Fit - but new used car shopping is fun. Even with only 5 or 6k to spend, there are so many interesting options.
