Radio Theft Error Code
Proud to say that i just purchased a used Honda Fit 2008 just this saturday. well, my parents did.. lol.
i love the drive and everything but something strange happened today.
I was just putting in my skimboard into the car and when i tried to turn on the car, the ignition wouldnt work. i can hear it try, but it wouldnt actually start the engine.
Then, i also realized that my radio said "Enter Code" being the idiot that i was, i put in a random code 13371 and it failed, afterwards, it said something wrong code 1. so, i restarted my car and the radio wouldnt even turn on now. Fudge.
i took out the manual and found my exact problem on Radio Theft Protection on pg 128. i know what to do now, but i cant even get my radio to even turn on to even give me a chance.
i dont know if this radio theft thing is linked to my engine or not, because i can't even turn on my engine. but..
has this ever happened to you guys? how did you fix it?
any advice would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.
thanks for your time.

First off welcome to FF.Net.
The radio will require a code after it lose power. From what you're saying it sound like the battery went dead.
I believe you have like a few chances to input a code before you've to wait a certain amount of time. If the radio doesn't even come on then check the fuse box for a blown fuse.

thanks for replying. okay so, i tried turning on my car again this morning and the radio actually went on. but when i would try to start the engine, it wouldn't start. Then, after that, my radio display started to blink kind of thing. so yeah, i think my battery's dead too :[
oh. my dad just called me and he said he tightened the bolts on the battery and the engine started up again. WOO! xDD
btw, where you from Fitting?

You'll have to remove the radio from the dash and get the code printed on the radio to use after re-installing it as apparently the printed sticker isn;'t correct.
If you used up all 10 attempts you probably are now at the mercy of Honda and Honda dealer. The dealer can get the code from the radio serial number, again accessible from the removed radio.
Multiple attempts at incorrect code could be just as bad.

BEFORE REMOVING THE RADIO***
Turn the key off.
Hold your finger on the 1 and the 6 button and keep them pushed.
turn the key on.
The radio should give you a serial number on the screen.
Take that to the dealer and they can look up your exact radio code to input.
Much easier than removing the radio!
