so is it bad if im not running the plastic under tray? I ran the car through the car was today and when I left I heard something dragging. Well I pulled into a parking lot and saw the tray hanging down and twisted up. I had to jack the car up and ended up just ripping it out from under the car Any poo do you guys think that is something I should replace quickly or is it just kind of what ever.

well if you would live further down south i would it's not a big issue, but honestly i was really scared for my car when i saw the chunck of ice between engine and tranny... if i would'nt have thought about the hot water through a pipe, it could have been disastrous...
plus it lets lots of dirt in the engine bay...
i recommend that either you replace it or you fab yourself some kind of underpanel this summer... i plan on working on something similar too but i don't know if i'll have time!

check these to know what i mean!

edit: you're talking about the biggest plastic piece right? the one that clips in the wheel wells? cause i've ripped away the small one years ago

That's the sounds of the beater syndrome MN. It's there for a reason u bet. as cheap as Honda was w/ this car if it could have save 4.00 per car by not installing the tray ... it wouldn't be there.
It's been a Hard winter on ur Fit so far. Still got my rims? hehe

yea im talking about the big peice that goes along the front then up by the wheels. Im sure it is there for a reason, like to keep crap out of the engine and to make it a bit more aerodynamic. Im just being lazy and thinking about how fast I should get this fixed.

its 37 offset, only rubs a little in the back when i hit a big dip at high speeds. nothin I haven't had before, so I think its a perfect match. Ive never been trying to acheive hellaflush. Im more of the road race type

^^ hella is played out. Functional is where its at. Would fender rolling eliminate your rubbing, or is it rubbing top of tire tread?

Im not totally sure if its the top or sidewalls but most likely its the side hitting the fender so rolling would probably cure that im just not sure i want to do that just yet. I'll let it go for awhile and see if it become more apparent with someone besides my 30 lb kid in the back. Ive had about 70 lbs of tools back there and a small grocery trip to costco which is about the same weight and no noticable problem at city speeds and bumps so we'll see

it was just the way you said it, you downplayed the size of the mod to make it sound like it was like no big deal. I love my HID kit. What temperature are you running? are you gonna do HID fogs too?

Changed my oil last night. Mobil 1 5w-20,K&N oil filter. Layed in the wet/snow in parking lot at work apartment. I really miss being home with a garage. Did not install front lower tanabe bar. Ill get it done sooner or later. Did order new PIAA fog bulbs in yellow, and heads as back up. Hids are not for me, and really wish we could move on from them as a community.
