something random, but could you not also use some of that vinyl overlay that's popular and cut it down to size for the magnetic base and use that as a cushion?

would that work?

I think it should if the magnet is strong enough to be attracted the metal through the vinyl and the vinyl overlay thick/durable enough to withstand any of the magnet's movement.

Went to a garage I frequent to have my radiator and coolant reservoir tank flushed and refilled. I'm trying out KYK's "Raku Raku" (Japanese for "easy easy") All-season Coolant. I guess "Raku Raku" refers to the fact that it's pre-blended.

When I got home I reapplied the duct tape that's holding the left end of my stock wing.

I wonder if the popularity of silver colored cars and trucks has to do with how duct tape repairs blend in and are not as visible.....The first tape of that type that I recall seeing was the color of Army and Marine helicopters in Vietnam.. It was used by Marines on their M-16 rifles to add a little camouflage to the black plastic stock.... I remember fixing an Army issue pack frame that had bullet hole damage using the stuff... That was the best load bearing shoulder pack I had seen over there and I had to have it even if I had to take it off of an NCO that had bee shot all to hell while wearing it.

so yesterday I went to the car wash and messed with my headlights since 1) my HID foglights weren't working the past year and 2) one of my headlight HID's were out.

so I decided to troubleshoot to make sure either it was a bulb problem or ballast problem. I somehow got one foglight up and running so it was niether bulb or ballast and determined the other fog hid was burnt out.. it flickered and died.

Both headlight ballasts were fine and I put in a temporary HID bulb from my brother's car into the passenger side until I get my H4 replacement bulbs.

Other than that vacuumed the snitch and gave it a nice car wash..

Today? buff out my headlights cuz they're looking foggy funky. And then buff out my red H rear emblem cuz that's oxidized to hell. Then re-paint my tow hooks lol.

Spoiler wing

Seems like a few Fitstas are repairing wings around here with duct tape. I have a M type wing still in the original packaging ( spanking new ) if someone want to change style's a bit.

I came to a complete stop 20 feet from it and the danged thing wouldn't move. I finally crept forward and pushed her with the front bumper until she took off.

That is great... There is a young buck that my Border Collie plays tag with.. That critter and his harem wait until I am right up on them before coming out of the tree line, jumping over the road and a fence on the opposite side of it... I have tried to take pictures of them from my car but they never seem to be around when I have a camera... They are amazing to see when there are 3 or 4 of them 6 or more feet off of the ground sailing effortlessly through the air.

Cleaned and treated the steering wheel again, it was still too grippy for my liking. Also noticed that the driver side window gasket has been folded over and softened in a 4 inch section after installing the slim visors; fortunately, it doesn't leak or whistle at the moment. -.-
