Thanks Type 100, it's a good location because under the carpet is the solid metal seat back. There are raised sections
and the amp. lined up w/ those sections. With a line out converter ( Scocche LOC80) the OEM head can be used and
maybe upgrade the spks. Now if ya remember I'm CHEAP (LOL) well you have to be with a LG. Family and I just wanted
some bass with the factory system shoot it's loud enough for me. So this is a stand alone bass system, and when I'm tired of the thump there's
a switch under the temp. controll that cuts on/off the amp. & the bestest part is it's all for under 2 bills waaaay under.

Recieved the audio controller LOC80 today now the last peice is the amp power kit...

Thumbs up Soundz

P-noud, I have a similar set-up...
1800 Watt w/ 5 chn amp "BOSS-Riot" not top of the line... but I can push it "real" hard for about two hours before the auto shut heat sync shuts it down for a while to cool off. Amp upgrade in the wurkz!
I mounted my caps. underneath the rear seat to save on space a possible damages from objects in the rear bay
My head unit is a Pioneer Premier assisted by a Audiobahn Pre-amp line driver for better control as to what particular sound you want achieve.
I mounted in the factory slots with the same factory grills in the four doors 6x3/4" oversized Boston Acoustics separates rated at 140 watt each. Mounted the rear door tweetas at same the same level as the front doors.
The Sub is a single 1200 watt dyno thin mounted Pioneer Premier in ported enclosure, small thin and lightweight but has the thump of two 12's.

re: chrome handles

ok, where did you get chrome handles? (I'm toying with the idea for my 07 tw fit sport) Did you replace the entire handle or just do the applique sticker thing - I found some online that stick on, but I am hesitant to go that route because of weather.

Got new shoes installed (just tires for now LOL) Continental Contiextremecontacts 205-55s for my stockers. Best wet tire ever made IMO. Rubbing in the front like a mofo, and I had to re-install some non-cut Skunk2s so they would clear in the back. But its gonna be worth it, TS 16 is due to arrive this evening, and my Nittos were as bald as Telly Savalas LOL

Sho nuff! I will have to get used to the Skunk2s at their original height in the back. When I put the un-modified set on last night, with the Nittos I almost cried, it sat so high and looked sooooo goofy. The Contis are 10mm taller so the wheel gap isn't so bad with them on, but it still doesn't sit level like it was....

Drove to and from work on them today and wondered why I haven't bought these tires a lot sooner! They are just as great as I remember them, nothing i have ever driven on inspires so much confidence in wet weather. They are rubbing like crazy at all four corners though. LOL I'm gonna have to either do a little Dremel surgery on the fender liners or just put up with the anvil chorus until the tires grind themselves in.

Try tucking your front fender liner (unscrew it from the fender and "pop" the liner on top of the fender lip_ and trimming your rear bumper's tabs (connects bumper to quarter panel, directly above tire). What size tire and wheel offset are you running?

I purchased my chrome handles a couple of years ago and they still look great!!
I bought the one's you are referring to.. the covers with adhesive backing, they are made of abs plastic and are very durable in inclement weather.
From 08-09 on you can find the matching chrome bowls for underneath the handles.

HA - of all the CF stuff I've seen the JDP front spoiler and those bowls are it. JDP will wait till my buddies garage is up and lift installed, but those bowls can go on easy in the driveway. I saw a post a while back - they look nice, being black that is. ;-)

Don't know if you saw the thread somewhere else around here, but Coyote is tempting me with one of those throttle units. I resist, tempting as it appears.
