changed spark plugs thi morning. bought ik22. no differences powerwise. idle is much smoother. old plugs were not so bad. did the idle relearn. still the car wont go past 160 kmh. I was pleased to see the coils were Hitachi... next thing on the list is valve lash adjustment

no you are right, i dont need to go faster, i only go 65 mph on the highway. BUT in reality it was more to see if i 'gained' something power wise. i can't believe those car wont go past 170/180 kph... i do understand it's a 2600# car with a 1.5l though.

I guess you choose against the set-up that would free up almost 10 extra hp. These were the model s2k that had F20C (which my 00 had).. Should have gone to Honda or go back to the store where you purchased the IK22 for the IK20. keep in mind you must ok running 91 octane or higher.. Face it. It's only 10gal tank.
I've never heard of the IK20 doing a 10 hp increase, please show us the link.

It's the Denso IK22 that free up maybe a couple hp because they are one step colder than the stock plug and are of a smaller shape pointing into the combustion chamber and this only happens with 91+ octane.
