Exedy clutch replacement today. Only a few more minor things and it will be perfect! My wife loves the GD3 more than I do. I made the mistake of letting her drive it.
I took it to a shop, $400 out the door. I can't complain. Normally, I would do this myself. But the weather has been hit or miss and I didn't want to risk having the car out of commission for more than a day.
I will say that the clutch is fantastic. It did fix my transmission rattle in neutral, so the shop was right. It was the throughout bearing. He said the input shaft bearing would be making noise while driving and mine wasn't.
I will say I have found a mechanic that I really do like and trust. He is always fair with me. He said he could replace the AC compressor (clutch seized just the other day) for $80 if I bring the R134A and compressor. He is one of the few shops that will let you bring your own parts and he always gives you a cash discount.

A day. I dropped it off Tuesday after work, so I could give him the key. Then I picked it up Wednesday after work. The price was pretty decent, much less than the $1,600 Honda quoted me. I believe he charged me 5-6 hours of labor, if that is what you are talking about. He usually gives me an estimate before the job and that is the MAXIMUM amount of time he will charge me. If it comes up short, he takes it off of his price.
I was charged for 6 hours for the clutch and flywheel that was recently installed in my Fit. I was charged a lot more than $400 though. But at least the place that did it came highly recommended.

6 hours seems fair. it took me two weeks to do my clutch with hand tools and one jack with some cinder blocks lol granted i couldn't work on it every day and i had never done it before.. definitely a learning experience and had to go to the dealership to buy some other stuff that was already broken etc. if you've never done it PROPERLY its a process. the flywheel needs to be machined... new seals and bearings should be pressed..fluids etc.
I watched a few YouTube videos of generic how to change your own clutch and decided it was too complicated for me to properly complete it, so I took it to someone who knows more than I do. Other than that and the turbo I (barely) helped install, I've done everything to my car myself. Oh, and not the front rotor replacement and spark plugs because I'm lazy.

Yeah, I was quoted $1600 at the dealership and a lot more at other shops. I do love this mechanic I go to.

That's more or less how I work too haha. I did a turbo and motor swap on my other car, took me a year or so though. I'm slow working, so I wanted this done in a day.

Generic and the Fit are not the same. Any of my other cars, I'd do the clutch. The Fit has a bunch of crap attached to the trans and it is suggested to remove the subframe.
I replaced the AC compressor and the shop filled the system up with R134 and it blows cooooooooool! Glad to have AC after a week without it in central Florida.
Next on my list is a horn replacement (the stock is just too wimpy and quiet) and possibly new headlight bulbs (not sure if I want to retrofit HIDs with actual projectors or go with LEDs).
My driver side door cylinder acted up and jammed on me. The folks at Cypress Lock and Safe in Cypress California (Orange County) repaired the cylinder for me. One of the wafers got slightly bent inside from wear and tear. A wafer is equivalent to a pin in a lock. Once that was replaced, it was smooth sailing again. It seems to be a common problem in a number of different Honda cars and trucks.
Washed it yesterday then today while at work I had some PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) done, getting the few major eye sore of dings removed. Buffed up those locations with Griot's Garages one step sealant once I got home.
