What did you do to the GD Fit today?

That's what I figured.
Also for basic maintenance, once I hit 100k any suggestions? I know I need to do a valve adjustment, coolant flush, check timing belt and water pump, check brake pads and rotors, adjust emergency brake, etc... anything else I might be missing?

That is about it and a little more.. There is no timing belt but a chain.. Keep an eye on the inner brake pads because they wear out first.. Keeping an Eye on fluid levels, changing schedules and the serpentine belt that turns the pulleys is about all there is to do.. I like to adjust valves a little more frequently than specified because it's a ritualistic thing for old guys that rode motorcycles in the old days..

At 100k, I'd recommend replacing spark plugs (and coil packs IF you have misfire issues), adjust valves, replace the serpentine/drive belt, and do a coolant drain and refill. In addition to that, I'd inspect the vehicle pretty well by checking out brake thickness and the CV boots on the axles (for tears/grease slinging) and of course visually inspect your other fluids and filters.
As for today... Not too much GD3 action. We did say hello and welcome to our newest member in the Honda family though. ^.^

Nice wheels.
I really like the white wheels. What model are they? I'm going to need new tires this year and want to change from the stock alloys on my Fit Sport. Looking at options and trying to decide on 15 or 16. Thanks.

So as of right now on my list of things to do for when I hit 100k:
Valve adjustments
Check brake pads and rotors (though by that time I will probably upgrade both)
Adjust emergency brake
Coolant flush
Check water pump
Check timing chain
Check CV boot
Replace serpentine belt
Guess that's it right?
ps. Nice addition!
Regarding wheel choices, anything you have already in mind? What's your budget? Mugen NR wheels look pretty good on our cars. :P

This happened to be one of the press cars from California... I didn't get a chance to drive it.

Hi I'm back... haven't been posting anything here in a while... still got my GD1 EDM/JDM Fit.
How's my ride? Well, been soursing some parts
I got lucky at Yahoo Japan Auctions few weeks back, here's the result:
Yen 14.499 = USD140... WIN!!! Genuine GD1 Type-S front bumper, incl all bits & pieces – In a right color too (Milano Red R81).
Forward 12 days (Tokyo – Helsinki) and here she is.
Just a quick try out, hah.
A bit lower than stock GD1 JDM bumper...
The car & parts are scheduled on paint shop in 2 weeks. So I'll slap my Honda Custom Consept Modulo side skirts & wing on as well.
Can't wait till those new parts are on. See ya soon!

I decided to spend another $1000 on parts. Clutch Masters FX350 Clutch Kit - Import Replacement Parts, LLC 05+ Honda Fit/Jazz Replacement Mount Kit Just a few more to go and some more wrenching.

I've heard good things in the past as well although the price is a little higher then the Clutch Master kits that include the flywheel. I've seen any stage kit of these go for $775.

Received this oil cap from a seller on ebay. Was looking for a replacement cap since my last aftermarket one cracked around the plastic threading. Didn't want to spend too much either. This one was $19.90 with free shipping-
JDM Replacement Gunmetal Honda Red H Billet Engine Oil Caps Cap Filler Cover | eBay
I know it's not Spoon, Mugen, Skunk 2 or even Genuine Honda, but it's still a good billet aluminum alternative. The rubber seal sits a tiny bit further out around the threads than the OEM cap but it still seals nicely. The red "H" is a 3M peel and stick and the H has a sheen to it. I won't lie, the RED isn't spot on to the description but it is very close.

Thanks.
Yes I did, but if you notice I muffed one little section in the upper right corner. The tape wasn't fully, fully, down and it gut under just a tad but overall I was happy with it.

Yeah I noticed that but its not that bad. Still looks good. I would do a carbon fiber cover but my car is for racing. Thats money that can go to "Go Fast" or "Handle Better" parts. Maybe i'll paint it though. Something loud haha.
