What did you do to the GD Fit today?

Has anyone seen this on Twitter...
t's another recall for power window switches getting wet, shorting out and potentially setting your car on fire.Honda is recalling nearly 700,000 Fit subcompact hatchbacks from the 2007 and 2008 model years -- including 143,083 in the U.S. -- because the master switch in the driver's door because rain, snow or other moisture can get in the door and damage the switch, causing it to overheat and smolder, smell and potentially start a fire.
Honda advises owners to park their Fits outdoors until the switch is inspected for damage.
It is the second time these Fits (sold in some markets as the Honda Jazz) have been recalled for this problem, with the first in 2010.
It's also the same issue that prompted the recalls by General Motors last August and again this month of a total of about 450,000 Chevy Trailblazer, Buick Rainier, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X SUVs from the 2005 to 2007 model years.
Honda says the original 2010 fix was not sufficient and it now ill replace them all, starting with ones that show damage in the inspection and the rest as parts are available -- so you might have to go to the dealer twice.
Honda says no crashes or injuries have been reported, but spokesman Chris Martin told the Associated Press that there have been seven reports of melted switches and two fires, all before the 2010 recall. Honda will begin notifying owners next month.
Snap. Not again. I did the 2010 recall and thought the issue was fixed. Will call the dealership on Monday and see if they can tell me anything. Anyone heard anything else about it?

I'm not too worried about the updated recall personally. I personally won't be doing mine anytime soon (BUT don't let my choice sway your decision on bringing your GD in or not for the safety recall) since I've got a bunch of other things going on for my Fit soon and I rarely drive in the rain so there's little chance for my master switch to get wet.
Just try to keep the area where the master switch is located (driver arm rest) dry as possible until you can get the vehicle inspected for the recall. I'm not sure how in depth Honda will let me go with telling you guys about the recall itself other than effectively saying its a more in depth re-inspection of the master switch and owners should see letters around mid-July.
Dealers should be getting updated parts soon (as far as I know, don't hold me to it) BUT I would highly recommend that anyone getting their GD serviced or recalls done to call ahead to check if the updated parts are in stock just in case.

In MY OPINION (notice I never said anything in your thread) it's your car but you took a fantastic looking car (which I did make the comment) and turned it into a charature of it's former self by putting those wheels on.
I'm just trying to prevent the spread of another mod that in MY OPINION doesn't look one tenth as good as it did.
