Son of a bee I wish I would have known that, I've been paying for those stupid rebuild kits (they charge like $7 per tire) on my last two sets of tires....I'll be sure to ask a manager if they can wave those fees next time I'm in. I've never had good luck with the TPMS anyway, it seems a sensor always goes out and the light stays on for so long I just learn to ignore it.

 

My 2nd hand BMC CDA was delivered yesterday so i made up a kit and fitted it Tuesday lunchtime:



There is not allot of room in the engine bay, but i just managed to squeeze it all in there.
I've used a 60mm to 70mm 90 degree reducing elbow to connect the throttle body to the airbox, then ran a short section of 70mm ducting from the airbox through the gap between the top of the radiator and the slam panel. It takes its air supply directly from the front grille.
A 10mm breather filter has been added to vent air from the cam cover.

 

I had two first yesterday! The Fit turned over 30,000 miles which about time seeing that the car is 5 years and 2 months old! The other first I could have done without - got caught in a major storm with pretty good size hail. Praying that it was not too damage to the pain or body. I will know more when I get it cleaned up today. We've been without power since last Friday when that bad storm came through WV just got it back yesterday. Thankful to be back in our own home and to have power! It is true that you never know how much you appreciate something until it is gone. Everyone have a great 4th of July!

 

I hope there is no damage to your car and everyone has their power on soon.... I'm still running around in our old truck having parts welded on and online shopping for nice looking parts that will look good and make the little station wagon walk on water or at least go faster with out coming unglued... Today I'm off looking for another shop fan only larger in size and some lights on stands that don't have bulbs that blow up when in the middle of something... It's not as hot as last year but my heat endurance is dropping at a fast rate... I'm going to wrench at night with the big fans cranking full tilt to blow the big bugs away from me....

 

Just finished changing the oil and oil filter in the Fit (B12 service) also did a visual inspection on various components on the front of the car (steering rack, ball joints, tie rod ends, engine mounts, etc.) and replaced the engine's air filter and cabin air filter. Was going to also replace the Z1 ATF with DW1 ATF and the external transmission filter today but I have a few errands to run and don't have the time today.

Used OEM Honda filters and about 3.8 qts of 5w-20 Mobil 1 Extended Performance.

 

I started working my Mugen lip this lunchtime. Repairing the broken corner as well as removing and straightening two of the damaged brackets.






I also had my latest eBay bargain arrive in the post today, a Spoon duracon Shift Knob and a set of Spoon Reservoir Splash Covers (worth about £50 in total) which i picked up for just £18. ;D

Couldn't post yesterday, but did some stuff to the fit yesterday.

Washed her, then PLASTI-DIP'd the front grill (was getting faded to an ugly off black/grey) and the rear H. Also took the rear wiper off.



Also cleaned up the exhaust (I just picked up) a little bit.

Not yet man. I had the afternoon set for it yesterday, but I had family come over and we eneded up BBQing. I'm thinking some time this week. Or just wait for the weekend, not really sure.

Did you get your set from T1R ?

 

Indeed I did started the install Saturday and unfortunately ran into a couple snags on the passenger side front and rear. My car was used and obviously driven in the east coast for a while becuz the corrosion from salts and rust on all my bolts are horrid. So enable to get the rest installed I'm waiting for my performance shop to call me back in a couple minutes to let me know when to pick it up. When everything is taken care of I'll post some pics. As far as the install goes it was extremely easy (for the side with less corrosion) I got front and rear done in an hour with my buddy

 

Im assuming that the fronts need to reuse some of the OEM stuff to mount them to the car ? I didn't see any instructions in my box.

How low are you planning on droping your Fit ?

 

Yes the fronts take some oem parts. And no there are no directions just a parts sheet and a warning sheet. That's always the case I feel. As far as drop I want about a 1-2finger gap if it permits without rubbing. Idk that's what I'm gunna find out today when I get it back. I need to adjust ride height to a level where it looks good but performs clean. They haven't said anything about needing a camber kit either so I'm hoping that'll keep cost down
