What specific info could you possibly be looking for in this thread? Any one with half a brain could look at the title of this thread and realise its just a collection of random comments and conversations. If you really need to find some thing try using the search button.

Jensen, do you have a helmet? I hope so, because you clearly enjoy beating your head against the wall.

I'm so sorry I ruined your pathetic thread here little boy. Only an idiot such as yourself would stoop to using the language you
did in your last post anyhow.

PS You start a thread such as this and anything goes!

Annnnnnd swerving back on topic. I finally figured out what was causing the run-up idle with my modded OE intake manifold! Yay! No more code 0507 CEL. The uber-glue I used to fill the holes I accidentally made in the top of the mani had settled and hardened from underhood heat and pressure. There were two little leaks that were causing the ECU to read funny idle vacuum. A liberal dosage of additional glue and PRESTO!

Phew - thanks punkin. First vacuum issue I've seen around here. My Sedan Deville was plagued with them. Even the parking brake release was tied to the system as well as all the climate vents and such.

Probably because i was the only one stupid, er ingenious enough to go hacksawing the OE intake manifold in half! Remember the vehicles of the mid to late 70s where damn near everything ran on vacuum? And the countless miles of brittle aged vacuum lines you would have to sort through when half the car wouldn't work properly? Good times man, good times.....

Okay then, I am going to do it...... My wife just informed me that she didn't think I needed to spend anymore money on making my car go any faster but I could order sheep skin seat covers if I'd like..... She thinks that $6000.00 is all I have spent on it..... She would have had a fit if she had been around when I was into Harley-Davidsons.

HA! Sheepskin seat covers and brittle vacuum lines - time warp time.

Just cruised your intake thread punkin. Be proud brother - and never let the good times go. Them vacuum lines learned you well.

I'm happy enjoying the pleasures of state-of-the-art automotive technology and the sweet things others are doing to stay frustrated......

Tex, you better pray that your "better half" doesn't take to reading over your shoulder like mine has! Thats how she found out about the headlights in the garage waiting for retrofitting! It gets HOT sleeping out in the backyard LOL Krimson, thanks! I am a tinkerer by nature and cars have been my passion since I was old enough to play in one. I have three car projects going at once right now, the 40 Caddy which is going to a new home in Europe next week, my wifes "mud truck" which is waiting for its 383 stroker engine (money to come from sale of former) and of course, my hapless daily driven Fit!

She is pretty cool about cars herself and has a 95 GMC SWB pickup that has all of the external mods to the V6 engine that I have been able to get my hands on and a 13 month old Forester that looks like it should still be on the showroom floor..... Her younger brothers had a Mach1 in the readers rides section of Hot Rod while they were in high school that she bought from them for her son when he graduated..... She just thinks that the Fit is too fast already..... That is coming from the mouth of a woman that falls asleep on a Goldwing cruising at 100 MPH and through small towns with signal lights.

I use Zaino's Show Car Wash and their complete wax/polish kit; its pretty awesome. I've used it since I got the Fit and surprisingly after almost 3 years the paint pretty much still looks like the car sat on showroom floor. Minus the scratches and dings of course.
