That one little tweak can make a big difference.

But I usually drive mine in EC7. Compensates for my heavy foot (don't like seeing the "blues-&-twos" in the mirror) and helps improve fuel economy for my daily commute to work. If I'm getting irritated with traffic or just feel a bit uppity, I throw it into SP mode. I have it set to SP9, but I really don't use it much and most of the time when I have it on, I don't have to work about a spastic throttle since I'm already moving, and usually at 45-50+.
I agree, having the 2 additional options for SP and EC is nice for adjusting the throttle sensitivity for the user's liking. I couldn't use SP9 on a daily basis or even during a "spirited" drive since its a bit too sensitive for me. SP4 to SP6 is what I usually run; haven't tried EC because I have a heavy foot.

Indeed. I tried it Saturday on the freeway. Could barely move the pedal 1/4 inch and the torque converter kept opening up at 70 MPH in 5th gear.

Its still a nice little device. I'm digging mine so far.

Agreed, made a significant enhancement to the around town performance. in my opinion at least.

Especially for the periods I've been NA, like now.

I'm thinking 8/9 will be fun to play with at the drag strip with some Hoosier slicks.

I am curious to see how much the extremes of different modes will affect my 2-step launch settings and timing/fuel tables on the low end and midrange in the EMS-4.

Once the small turbo is spooled on the line, the instant the clutch starts to load up on the trans I imagine the big turbo will light off.

I am scared I am going to snap the shit out of the axles/input shaft or shear teeth of the gear-set the first time out on kill mode and lunch the trans..

Maybe the Drive Shaft Shop or someone will come to my rescue. I am going to regret not having an LSD already. But atleast we may learn alot about the stock gearbox through the seemingly inevitable carnage coming my way.

A "scatter shield" is on my to do list.

I'd wait until there were a few L-15A engines and drive trains stashed away for spare parts... Maybe have a cargo container of them shipped over and buy the container too and use it for storage... You could live in it when all of the parts are used up.

I am going to need at least one engine and one trans up and running for a quick swap. Ideally I'd like another to have sent in for ISF and Cryo and beefing up. At the very least new shimming/pre-loading.

If I keep up with all these projects.. Fit, 1G, Trike, her sister's K24 CRV, etc. I will be living in that container anyways!

I just got back from San Antonio with an accumulation of 500 miles showing on the odometer... The last time my brother in law was in my car it only had 5PSI boost and he thought it was fast. With 10PSI and all of the other stuff I've done to it he was wanting me to slow down before I had gotten into third gear..

You need to go to the track and see how fast it is. I bet its close to 14 seconds or lower. You don't want to go to fast other wise you need a full roll cage.

Heh. I would be surprised if even my Fit is going to need a cage.

11.49ET or trap 130mph for NHRA, IIRC.

Though in Texas they seem to let guys do 225+ at the mile with a whiffy little bolt in roll bar

***Unless you are an import that is not german or italian. Then they throw the book at you.

I would look at picking one up from Pan, most are between $250-$400 and the one that most here have are (picked up from Pan) are about $130 with the forum discount. But you also have a K-swap right? If so just go DC5 throttle-by-cable like J-Crim...less hassle and more direct pedal feed back from the throttle.

The civic DBW connection at the accelerator pedal is the same but it is probably set more sensitively since its meant to be a sporty car. The ECU is of course different which is where the actual DBW control system is at. The simple version of what the etc does is it allows the user to control the outgoing voltage to the throttle body so it tricks it into believing its supposed to open the plate more earlier on than the factory setting. Its simple but its not.
