considering trying plastidip on the rear windsheild garnish since i cant get mine off (the screw turns freely and wont come off the wiper). i want black, so i think its worth a try. any suggestions/comments on the idea?

your talking about the plastic piece below the rear windshield right? If so i would just delete the rear wiper and break that bolt. The rear wiper is useless and if you ever get rid of the car you can find all kinds of replacement bolts and i guarantee they wont pull off the hatch panel to check to see if the wiper has OE bolts.

I guess you have never driven in sloppy winter conditions. I would not be able to see out of my rear window without the wiper. Sorry but bad advice.

To remove the garnish you must pry from both sides to release the clips. Then pull out to release the other three.

not BAD advice...just not applicable due to circumstance. but no i havent driven in sloppy winter conditions. i usually just wash my car...lol. JKJK

rear wiper delete is something that alot of ppl here have done just to clean up the looks of the car and for most it is useless...only clears a small section (about the size of a fat gerbil) so it doesnt help much.

if it works for you tho more pwr to ya!

i dont really want to get rid of the wiper right now. i dont get terrible snow here, but i would like to have it. that would be a last resort, but i still dont think its needed just to have black. im going to try my idea saturday and ill post pics then

So i have been very busy here lately, but I have been working on my new wheels when ever i get a chance.

These came in today.

Took them down to a shop and had them carefully mounted to wheels. I have put over 45hrs into hand polishing these wheels. Started with aircraft remover to strip factory coating. Then sanded entire wheel including back withh 220,320,400,600,800,and 1000 grit paper all wet. Then went to 1500 and 2000 grit using rubbing compound instead of water. Cleaned all compound off really well, and used Mothers polish on mini power ball to polish.

This is all you get for now. Will be doing a meet in richmond sunday, and this will be the unvieling of wheels. Pics will be up sooooon........
