Hey DSM...I'm plead'n the fifth on this one! The last time I posted on petroleum prices it spiraled into a political firestorm.. So much so that the thread had to be removed.....

Washed the engine bay, fender liners/suspension. Installed OEM floor mats, all season mats and cargo tray, and rear tonneau cover. Washed the car, and filled up with gas at $4.03/gallon. Its been a productive day!

Getting a turrible noise from the back suspension. Couldn't find anything wrong so thinking I blew a shock. THe one side does ride a little lower than the other side. Any advice on shocks. Don't really feel like spending the money on new shocks.

Removed the wheels to clean and scrub them. Did that then waxed them and dressed the tires. If I would have had the time I would have cleaned inside the fenders. Might do that tomorrow.

light stuff!

I installed some more powerful headlight bulbs (slightly illegal) for better visibility. Difference is "night and day"!

Susquehanna MotorSports - Auto Performance Product

Converted our H11 foglight bulbs to H9s which doubles their lumen output. I always thought the fit's foglights were bogus. I couldn't tell when I turned them on. Made quite a difference.

Susquehanna MotorSports - Auto Performance Product

I finally installed some ebay LED taillights I purchased and they look and fit quite nice. I thought they'd look better on a BBP fit and I was right.

06-07 HONDA FIT BLACK JDM LED TAIL LIGHTS REAR LAMPS | eBay

Went a little crazy with the lights but I'm pleased with the results.

Took a really nice drive today. Took the 17 over through the mountains to santa cruz and then took HWY 1 up for about 30-40 minutes almost to Half Moon Bay and took the 84 east i think through redwood city or paloma something like that. My favorite part was on the 84 all the winding turns and finally towards the end I came up behind a motorcycle and was taking corners faster than him very fun

tech a blown shock won't make the car sit lower...

one way to check it is detach the suspected good shock from the rear at the top or bottom, and bounce on the back a bit and see if the other shock is trying to dampen the spring at all...

even with the "good" shock attached, when i bounce the back the "bad' shock makes almost a knocking noise.
