TPMS sensors 09 not compatible with 08? dealer says no!

TPMS sensors 09 not compatible with 08? dealer says no!
My Honda delaer tells me that the TPMS sensors on my 2009 Fit Sport wheels are not compatible with my 2008 Fit Sport.
My Stock wheels were stolen and I picked up a set from a 09 Sport, looks good, rides good but the TPMS light is on all the time.
Dealer tried to reset and says they can't. what gives? are they trying to sell me new sensors?
