skunk2 short shifter help

Hey how do you get that white 'cup' off the end of the stock shifter

Use some pliers. Don't damage it though. You can heat it up with a heat gun/hair dryer or hot water to expand/soften the plastic a little which could make it easier. Be sure to put fresh lithium grease on it when re-installing it.

you can also take the closed end of a hand wrench that fits around the plastic cup then work it off slowly.

x2 on that. I actually dipped mine in some super hot water to soften it up.

I used 2 open end wrenches just larger than the metal shaft on my ge pried one against the other, very easy that way. My gd one I struggled a bit with a different method
