Hood vent

I remember seeing this vent a while back that mounts right in front of the windshield.. But I can't seem to find it now.. Any help on what it's called exactly, and also what purpose it serves??

Roguefit cowl scoop. You can get them in carbon fiber of various colors and weaves, or black (like mine) It drops the intake air temp by about ten degrees in the heat of summer (verified by Scangauge for the naysayers) Money well spent IMHO

Thanks guys.. I've always thought they looked sweet but didn't know exactly what it did.. How does it lower intake temps if it's not connected to the intake?

The scoop gives the hot underhood air an additional exit to get out through. And that exit happens to go right past the throttle body, and the intake air sensor in the A-spec CAI that i am running. Amazingly enough it really doesn't seem to draw much water/dirt during the winter, which is not what i was expecting.

Thumbs up Rogue To The Rescue!

This is the orange kevlar scoop that Rogue Fit makesthis is another scoop he makes for a different car and this one is CF. He seems to be a very busy (yet very nice too!) man but he will answer your questions he told me about a week to 10 days for a scoop. And I have thought about this for 6 months so what it came down to was a P.O.C. hood scoop for next to nothing$ wise off Ebay and thats what those are nuth'n just plastic. I really wanted the GTP vent off a Pontiac Grand Prix 90's era 15" but our hoods have way too much curve to them but that would have been a cool hood! then the CF hoods for 400-600 and then shipping 150-200 ChA ChInG! BaBy!! and then after a few years the hood's clear goes away.... So Rogue to the rescue with a scoop that doesn't look so out there that it should only be on a tuner car like the CF hoods, yet does lower the temp under the hood in summer and looks like it may have come with a speed package from the factory. and @ 75-95 dollars that's a deal in my book the orange kevlar is what MzFiT is getting, come out to the 5/29 Richmond show and take a look for yourself to see if ya like it.
